Known by the nickname KK, Karina LeBlanc is always on her toes as a goalkeeper. This quick-thinking player is originally from Canada, but that doesn't stop her from loving Caribbean food and sunny vacation spots like Dominica where she lived when she was a kid. KK has established herself within the soccer world and has become a respected and loved leader on whatever team she plays for. With 3 World Cups already under her belt, it's no wonder her teammates look up to her for guidance and inspiration. When she's not coaching or giving a motivational speech in her spare time, Karina likes writing poetry and being outside. And when it comes time to get pumped up for a big game (like say, the 2008 Beijing Olympics - her greatest sport accomplishment to date!), Karina turns up everyone from Rihanna and The Black Eyed Peas to Bob Marley and Kirk Franlin.

She was selected as the #1 draft pick in the inaugural 2009 WPS season and became one of the league's leading scorers in the 2010 season. She is currently entering her second season with the Philadelphia Independence and this Lake Forest, CA native not only shares her nickname with a famous New York Yankee (aka A-Rod), but she's also got a just-as-impressive list of accomplishments. Amy is a 2008 Olympic gold medalist for the US and she is gearing up with the rest of the US National Team to be the best in the world this summer in Germany.

  • Name: Alex Scott
  • DOB: October 14, 1984 (age 26)
  • Born: London, England
  • Height: 5 ft 4 in
  • Playing position: Defender

Alex is one of the most driven women in professional soccer today. "I have a silver European championship medal but it's all about turning silver into gold. I train hard every chance I get with the thought that nothing will be good enough till I have a gold medal around my neck," she says. Hailing from London, England, Alex has been a member of the FIFA World Cup Team for England, and is off to the 2011 FIFA World Cup. This superstar defender is powerful and reliable in the backfield but is also dangerous on the attack. Out of superstition, this Boston Breakers defender always carries her red Puma wristband with her, saying she "feels weird playing a soccer match without it." When Alex takes the fields she is all business, but she has been known to get ready for big games by listening to music and dancing in the locker room- "to me soccer is all about smiling and having fun. If you do not smile and have fun what's the point in doing it, right?"
